Intel® Centrino® Duo processor technology with Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T5250 |
Based on Intel's revolutionary Intel® Core™ microarchitecture provides optimized performance and power savings.
With up to 4 MB L2 shared cache the Intel Core 2 Duo processor offers unique ability to efficiently process data—providing enhanced performance, responsiveness, and power savings. The shared cache allows both cores access to the full L2 memory area. Shared cache balances the data needs of each core so when one core needs more data storage for an intensive task it has access to the cache that is required for the task.
Increased process system bus speed, providing increased bandwidth, vs. prior generations, for up to 20 percent faster data transfer rate compared to 667MHz helping meet the requirements of demanding applications.
Doubles the rate at which streaming media instructions can be executed. Enables enhanced performance on floating-point-intensive applications such as video editing, digital music, digital photography, and gaming.
Improves system performance by optimizing available bandwidth in the system bus and memory subsystems to provide data to the processor when and where it is needed.
An built-in technology that can take advantage of 64-bit applications as they become available.
Allows one processor core to deliver extra performance during execution of single threaded applications when the other core is idle.
